Living through this pandemic has been exhausting, but if nothing else, we have learned to give up a little control and go with the flow more. We haven’t had a choice. We’ve gone from working in offices to working from home. Children have faced challenges of remote learning or gone back in-person with safety measures in place. Events have been cancelled or postponed or re-invented to comply with restrictions. We have even faced supply shortages...Great Toilet Paper Shortage of 2020 anyone?
Well, the flower industry is no different. It, too, has been affected by shortages and supply issues, so we continue to be flexible and find ways to work around them. We may not be able to get a specific type of rose, so we will find something just as beautiful within the color palette. The prices for flowers and supplies have increased, so we will find a way to create beautiful arrangements within the budget. Trust your floral designer to understand your vision, to work within your budget and to handle the nitty gritty details so you can focus on other things that come with planning an event during a pandemic. We will still make your vision come to life with just a little flexibility.
The past 18 months have been a rollercoaster to say the least with so many uncertainties about nearly every aspect of life. And as Chicago re-imposes a mask mandate for indoor gatherings, it looks as though it will continue on for the foreseeable future. But we will make it through. We will do it by relying on one another. And we will do it with flowers!
